Comtel's software development process is undergoing reprocessing and restructuring in order to achieve CMMi certification in the near future. A Quality team has been formed to set the process improvement functions, integrate separate organizational functions and provide guidance for quality processes. The processes in place have been evaluated by the team and are constantly monitored in order to be ready for assessment in the shortest possible time.

PCMM initiatives have also been implemented as Comtel defines its strategic human capital objectives through knowledge transfer, integrating workforce development and improving current workforce practices. The successful streamlining and organization of processes and administrative functions ensures that Comtel is well on its way to achieve both CMMi and PCMM assessment by end of the year.
