The Client
The client is a leading share broker with more than 200 branches spread across India. As a crucial business requirement of the stock broking industry, the client needed a complete IT infrastructure to connect its main branch to different stock exchanges as well as to their branches and agents.
Besides requiring the services of an experienced and trusted vendor in the IT infrastructure area, the vendor also needed to be well-versed with the stock broking processes. Having executed similar projects, Comtel was an obvious choice.

The Client
The client is a US-based software company with interests in high-end software development for prospective clients in the USA. In order to manage the entire project life cycle requirements such as application design, development, enhancement and support functions, the client needed an experienced and trusted vendor who could deliver and set-up a secure and scalable IT infrastructure. Comtel was awarded the contract based on their decades of experience in undertaking large and complex IT infrastructure projects worth over $8 million.
Solution
The project included supplying the highest quality computers, networking hardware, fail-safe power back-up systems and installing them in a professional manner. In addition to providing hardware, Comtel also provided networking and connectivity hardware as per the needs of the client. Site preparation assistance was also provided during installation.
Of particular significance were the following activities that were undertaken during the installation of the above infrastructure.
- Network Analysis - Comtel conducted an in depth analysis to determine the most suitable networking routing, switching technology and used the results to determine if there were potential issues that should be addressed. On the basis of the results, Comtel made recommendations for the future expansion and upgrade of the system.
- Network Design and Installation – Comtel’s Network Engineers designed the network based on the specific needs of the client’s business. Comtel installed and certified the correct type of media to ensure a scalable and expandable network infrastructure.
- Power Back-Up Design and Installation – Based on Comtel’s vast experience, the system was suitably configured to provide back-up power with adequate provision for scalability.
Comtel set up the required infrastructure in a record
time of one week and the project was executed in the
most cost-effective manner.
